1/02/12 - RTS Prep Week - Squat

Notes
-I'm using this first mesocycle to figure out my own RPE system.  Last night I used the 6x3 volume rep protocol (did an extra set on accident).  It is going to take a while to get comfortable with the RPE system.  RPE 8 means 2 or more reps left in the tank.  RPE 9 means only one more left in the tank.  Honestly, I feel like I could have banged out 8 reps if I really wanted to...but I don't think the point is to use an "insanity set" as a basis for your RPE.

-I'm doing everything unbelted from here on out.  I don't care what happens to my numbers.  I'll be better off in the long run.  Later I'll use the belt as a tool, not a crutch.

-Matt and I fucked up assistance.  Ordinarily the second exercise is supposed to be RPE based too.  The last exercise is 4-5 sets of 8 reps.

-I'm sore as fuck already.
