Notes
Squats felt good. Knees still drifting forward, I really don't know how to stop it. Its not really bothering me. Maybe its not possible with this stance. I felt a solid groove today.
Most of the reps look smooth and relatively "easy" but they don't feel that way. I guess I kinda forgot that squats are a really hard exercise. I'm getting soft.
Overall, squats are starting to look a little more efficient. Just a single movement, up and down.
Got burnt out on swings. Using the 70 for the first 3 sets is not easy. I did my last 50 rep set with the 70. My goal is for my final workout to be 500 with the 70.
broheim. i don't think knees drifting forward is a problem.. what you are no longer doing, and is good, is letting knees come forward, then they come back, then they slide forward again. knee slide. that's the shear force.
ReplyDeleteyou are gradually loading them as you descend. that's ok. ideally they would be set a little earlier, as opposed to continuing to move forward through your descent, but as you said, its probably part of your stance width.. and if that's what feels comfortable, then that's what you do.
otherwise, pretty sure 315x3x5 is next week. keep adding weight.
Sorry for the delayed reply, but I started thinking that too, re: knee going forward.
ReplyDeleteI posted new vids tonight. I think with a little more toe flair, and even more pronounced "knees out," the knees go less forward.
